Regarding the whale going to heaven, Jesus did say, "Blessed are those who weep and mourn, for they shall be comforted." Somehow, I think he'd just feel beached in ours, beached on streets of gold.
What would a whale heaven look like? I suppose he'd find all his family. Lots of roaming space, maybe, with seas of krill for the gulping? Perhaps that would be krill hell.

Or here's something terrible. Perhaps, if one holds to the theory of transmigration of souls, this whale is some tortured soul purging past karma. Who would deserve a fate like that, I wonder?
